Hello 2012!
I’m about to be busy and moving until the ball drops tonight so I’ll just take my short moment of relaxation to express how grateful I am for this past year and grateful for another start of a new year.
There were definitely some “bummers” in 2011. My mom lost her job, I had to decide whether to move back home to be with Jay or stay at Texas Tech for myself…my brother got into some trouble, our safe got stolen, I had to buy my first car and probably more…but there were some major positive points to 2011 too. My mom found a great job that she loves which boosted her confidence and provided her with more networking relationships. Jay and I’s relationship didn’t burn out. Long-distance isn’t THAT hard and actually, we’re better than ever. We got the safe back…sans a lot of heirlooms but at least we have the titles to our cars.
I’ve also realized how far I’ve come. I used to be such a hellion and now I know what I want out of life and I’m taking every step to get it all. I’ve learned a lot this year and grown so much. I really can’t wait to see what 2012 brings…good and bad. I hope everyone has a safe, fun, new years eve!
